Dr. Nataliya O. Smith has extensive research, teaching and practical experience in Environmental Studies with accent on environmental safety, industrial ecology, and renewable energy sources as drivers of sustainable development. Over last ten years she has been working at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University (Ukraine), where she had made path from PhD student and Adjunct Instructor to PhD, Associate Professor position in the Environmental and Natural Resources Department. Currently Mrs. Smith lives in the United States, where she is expanding her career. Her PhD research, including numerous publications, has focused upon the study of environmental safety of heating-and-cooling-supply systems of buildings, the development of scientific methods of complex assessment of environmental impact and creating the mechanism for increasing environmental safety through sustainable use of renewable and traditional energy sources.
