Geomicrobiology examines the aspects of geomicrobiology and its physiological aspects. It includes molecular and non-molecular methodologies used in geomicrobiology. It provides the reader with the insights of geomicrobiology to understand the geomicrobiology of fossil fuels and the molecular and non-molecular methodologies involved in geomicrobiology along with its applications. This book also discusses about geomicrobiology of iron and sulfur, geomicrobiology of fossil fuels and applications of geo-microbiology.

Dr. Urvashi is a microbiologist. She completed her Masters from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, after which she joined Panjab University, Chandigarh for Ph.D. Her main area of research was fermentation and phytoremediation. After completion of PhD, she moved to Kuwait where she is running her own business of medical writing and editing.

Vijay Singh Gondil is Masters in Microbiology from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, India. Currently he is working in area of medical microbiology and exploration of alternative strategies to counter multi-drug resistance pathogens. His main area of interest is bacteriophages, endolysins and their delivery strategies. He has filled patent and published a number of papers in international journals of repute. He along with his research group designed a novel drop cast method of bacteriophage enumeration. Additionally, he is also working on other alternative antimicrobial agents such as antibacterial enzymes of bacterial origin, antibacterial nanoparticles, antibacterial metal complexes and antibacterial pigments as new drug targets for drug resistant pathogens. He aims to control cumbersome drug resistant bugs with alternative therapeutic agents, which are less or yet to be explored in human healthcare.
